Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara
Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Nairobi to Masai Mara. On the way, enjoy a stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, a perfect spot for breathtaking photographs. Upon arrival, settle into your accommodations and savor a delicious lunch. In the evening, embark on your first game drive, where you’ll witness the golden hues of the savannah during sunset.
Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive
Spend the entire day exploring the vast Masai Mara. Capture images of the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo) as well as cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and a variety of bird species. Your guide will ensure you’re in the right place at the right time to photograph animals in action. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wild.
Day 3: Masai Mara Wildlife and Culture
Begin the day with an early morning game drive to photograph wildlife in the soft, golden light. Later, visit a local Maasai village to document the vibrant culture and traditions of the Maasai people. Their colorful attire and dances make for incredible photo opportunities.
Day 4: Balloon Safari and Game Drive
Opt for an early morning hot-air balloon safari (additional cost) to capture the breathtaking aerial views of the Masai Mara at sunrise. Afterward, enjoy a half-day game drive and spend the afternoon relaxing at your lodge or exploring nearby nature trails.
Day 5: Departure
Bid farewell to the Masai Mara as you embark on a morning game drive en route to Nairobi. Reflect on the incredible memories and photographs you’ve captured during your safari adventure.
FAQ
Our package includes accommodation, all meals during the safari, transportation in a 4×4 safari vehicle, services of a professional photography guide, park entry fees, and private game drives. Flights, visas, travel insurance, and personal expenses are excluded.
The Masai Mara is renowned for its diverse wildlife, including the Big Five, cheetahs, and vast herds of wildebeest during the Great Migration. You’ll also capture breathtaking landscapes, sunrise and sunset shots, and unique cultural portraits of the Maasai community.
We recommend a DSLR or mirrorless camera with telephoto lenses (e.g., 100-400mm or 70-200mm) for wildlife shots, a wide-angle lens for landscapes, and a sturdy tripod for stability during low-light conditions. Our guides can also assist with equipment setup and tips.
