Asili Cultural Tours

Asili Cultural Tours bridges the gap between wildlife safaris and authentic cultural experiences. Founded by anthropologist Dr. Wanjiru Muthoni, we create meaningful encounters between travellers and Kenya’s diverse communities.

Our signature itineraries include multi-day homestays with Maasai families in the Mara, beading workshops with Samburu women, Swahili cooking classes in Lamu Old Town, and visits to Pokot and Turkana communities in the remote northwest.

We are deeply committed to community-based tourism — 40% of every tour fee goes directly to the host community. We also run a scholarship programme funding secondary education for girls in Maasai communities. Our cultural tours can be combined with traditional safari game drives for a complete Kenya experience.
